Introducing Standby’s little star, Sydney

You may have seen him in the Manchester Evening News (click here to see the article), on Twitter (click here to view) or strolling around Manchester looking generally very happy. He’s a star in his own right but he’s also Standby’s mascot.

Introducing Sydney. Sydney is a white West Highland Terrier, owned from a tiny fluffy puppy (as above) by Standby’s owner/Director, Simon Owen. Sydney likes eating Pupcakes, Wensleydale cheese and meeting new people (getting very excited in the process). He dislikes cats, Marmite and sitting still for very long.

Sydney often joins the team in the edit suite – he’s very good at pressing ‘paws’ (oh dear?!) and also helping out on sound (four legged friends have a great ear as well as nose) and also sniff out new clients.

Whilst gaining a lot of attention from other pooches, he’s also great at assisting with first edits but gets a little sleepy when reading up on technical jargon.

You might see Sydney pop up from time to time, on Twitter or our Facebook pages or out and about chasing a pigeon or trying to look ferocious make sure you say hello!
