Manchester may have had a months rainfall in just a week – but the Standby crew haven’t let that dampen their spirits! Come rain or shine, the crew are always as eager as ever to get out and shoot some cracking films. So, here goes Take 13 of the Standby update!

Week 13 Shoots

Ash and Jack found themselves on location near Buxton filming an exciting project for a new client. We can’t say much about them unfortunately, only that they operate some very impressive (and noisy) machinery, which resulted in some awesome footage being captured.

Mark started out his week working on a new film for Hobs. This film focussed on their HR department, alongside a new vinyl wall installation for their office. He delivered a cracking montage film for them, and the client were made up with the delivery.

Later in the week, Mark also shot for Psychi (another one of Standby Social’s clients – video for £600 per month!). The shoot was all about the great relationship Standby and Psychi have together. So, Psychi invited Standby to a morning of wall climbing!

Standby were joined by James Parikh, Ben Grove, Tom Lloyd (Psychi Ambassador) and Jen Wood (Psychi Ambassador) from the GB Climbing Team, who taught them that climbing is definitely not as easy as it looks. I think we’ll all be sticking to the filmmaking, for now. Mark caught some fantastic b-roll of the two teams climbing together and the final result was superb!

Other than climbing rocks, Chris spent the majority of his week focussing on a TV Commercial for Action Coach, working primarily on exporting over 108 territory specific end frames.

Meanwhile, he spent his remaining time on the final touches to the Care Fertility project, which the client are said to be thrilled with!

Our MD, Simon, spent the latter part of his week down in London on his quarterly business coaching course – so we expect plenty of new ideas to drive the business forward over the coming days/weeks.

Everything Else

On another note, the Standby crew enjoyed another ‘social’ together, ‘putting’ our golfing luck to the test at junkyard golf!

Finally, the new production office is coming along nicely, and with the new fridge arriving later this week – it’s surely going to be full of beer soon!
