I SAW IT FIRST
I SAW IT FIRST are an online clothing brand that delivers the freshest trends in fashion to their customers. They aim to source the hottest looks in fashion from style hubs around the world, offering customers luxury trends that don’t break the bank account!
As the official fashion sponsor for ITV2’s Love Island 2019, I SAW IT FIRST approached Standby through the media agency ‘LOVE SUGAR SCIENCE’ to collaborate on their upcoming TV commercial. The concept of the film followed five female influencers on their summer holiday, shot using a “fly-on-the-wall” style. This edit has a creative focus on ‘neon’ due to the shots emphasising the vibrant outfits. Overall, the project had a fast turn-around, due to Love Island airing on the 3rd June 2019. As a result, both edits were produced and delivered to screen all within the timeframe of a month.
Standby’s notable experience in creating TV commercials, allowed us to deliver the project on a fast-turn around. As we sourced a remarkable location, cast and crew, but we did not compromise on quality. The shoot took place over the course of two days within a lavish villa in the quiet neighbourhood of Benimussa, Ibiza. To accompany the luxury location, Standby secured an excellent production team, drawing upon our experience working together on previous high-end productions. From discussions with our DoP Jamie, the decision was made to shoot the commercial using anamorphic lenses, in order to fit the brief of creating an advert that stood apart from it’s peers. Overall, capturing the “holiday” in a unique cinematic way.
The Neon Edit first aired ITV2’s Love Island on the 20th June 2019. In parallel to the first edit, we updated the end frames to represent a different product seen within that particular live episode. Throughout the process our relationship with I SAW IT FIRST has grown following the success of the two TVC’s, which have been showcased on ITV2’s most talked about show! Overall, another exciting development for Standby Productions.
