Psychi
For their latest content, Psychi a UK climbing and fitness brand, asked the Standby Social team to produce a short film interviewing one of their athletes. Jennifer Wood is a GB champion, obtaining the 2016 title in British Speed Climbing. Also, in the same year she placed 4th in the world championships.
Brief
Psychi wanted video content that displayed their talented athletes. Standby produced two short films showcasing two Psychi athletes and this film focuses on Jennifer Wood.
Solution
To accomplish Psychi’s creative vision and achieve a cinematic feel we shot using a shallow depth of field. We also incorporated slow motion footage to emphasis movement as Jennifer did her thing! Additionally, we made the decision on the day to capture the footage in a flat colour profile – this gave us more control over the final aesthetic of the film during the editing stage.
Execution
The Standby Social team delivered a short film that encapsulated the raw talent of Pyschi athlete Jennifer Wood. The client loved their final film and we cannot wait to see it on their social channels!
