STANDBY recently completed work on our latest film project, Granaldo, for TotallyMoney.com! Working as both the creative agency and also the production house, we developed a concept for use on social platforms that would be both eye catching and impactful for watching viewers. TotallyMoney.com wanted a film that lasted no more than 30 seconds in length, and hooked viewers within the first five. Our solution to the brief was Granaldo, a ‘totally tekkers’ loving gran, with an underlying message about championing the underdog and having the confidence to simply “go for it.”
For the shoot, we brought in Manchester-based DoP Mike Staniforth, who brought with him his expertise and keen eye, as well as a Red Dragon to capture the hard-hitting action in 6K. The conditions for the day were exactly what we were after – muddy, rainy, dark and generally a bit miserable – perfect for that ‘Sunday League’ vibe we were after!
The shoot itself was a cracking success, as well as a lot of fun to capture some incredible shots. Our number one aim during any production is that everybody enjoys themselves, and speaking to the clients at the end it was clear we had accomplished that, as well as shooting another stunning film.
