Here at STANDBY, we’re celebrating our 5th year of being in business and we’re really proud of what we’ve accomplished so far! In such a short space of time we’ve gone from Simon and Sydney in a spare room at his home, to a small office and crew above a cake shop, to a much larger office and crew on the cusp of Manchester’s creative hub – the Northern Quarter. Standby’s knowledge and talent has been flown across oceans and helped a wide variety of clients both big and small. We’ve upgraded from using using our trusty Canon DSLR (back in year one) to our Sony FS700 camera and through to high-end 4K equipment, along the way delivering cracking results worth shouting about!
It hasn’t always been an easy ride, but we’ve always prided ourselves on delivering films that are more innovative and creative than your standard production (our directors hate the term “corporate video”). This is why we’re so proud to have reached this stage in the company’s life and why we decided to take a moment away from filming, editing, storyboarding and colour grading to reflect on how far we’ve come, our favourite moments and what’s next for STANDBY PRODUCTIONS.
We took it in turns to sit in front of the camera and asked, ‘Where were you 5 years ago?’
Although STANDBY is still a young company, we’ve come a long way in 5 years and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store (global film domination is just one of the many things on our list). Most importantly we’d like to say a huge thanks to all our clients who have worked with us in the crucial early years. Without you we wouldn’t be the company we are today and we can’t wait to work with you more in the future.
