Christmas has arrived in Ancoats, and boy don’t we know it! The office is filled with christmas decorations, mince pies and christmas songs. Current favourite songs include The Pogues – Fairytale of New York, (obviously) Elvis – Blue Christmas and Whams! Last Christmas. With 16 days until Christmas, it’s only a matter of time until we all grow sick of them. Cue, take 23!
Week 23 Shoots
With the cutting room as busy as ever, Ash (Standby’s DoP) has been getting to work on editing a new promotional film for a brand new client! After shooting the film last week, he’s been really excited to bring the story to life – keep your eyes peeled to see his amazing new work! Ash and Jack both spent the rest of the week working together on the exciting new edits for Hotter Shoes, which you’ll all be able to see very soon!
On Wednesday, Producer Ellen and our filmmaker Dave headed to the beautiful Bridgewater house in Manchester to shoot for digital agency DEPT. The building was truly amazing, and the shoot went really well!
Meanwhile, the Standby Social team have been extremely busy creating christmas content for some of our biggest clients! Last week alone, Felix went on four shoots for Velcro, Outwood, Audit Lab and Diono! Mark was equally as busy, shooting and editing for Never.No, Psychi and Phase 3 all in one week! Tom, our newest Standby Social filmmaker has really settled in well, and is cracking on with shoots and edits for the likes of Clear Watch, Velcro and Push Doctor! His latest work for Clear Watch Security has been received extremely positively from the client, and we’re really excited to see what Tom creates next. Here’s what Tom had to say.
“It was a great evening working alongside one of newest clients at Standby Social, Clear Watch Security. After much preparation and planning, I wanted to present a really strong original concept to make the film engaging as possible. They are very open to new ideas and keen to push the boundaries with their content which I love. Complicated edit which took far too long. Filming was slightly different with a script and narrative which is new for standby social. Can’t wait to shoot with them again!”
