It’s been an incredible year for STANDBY PRODUCTIONS so we thought we’d take this opportunity to reflect on some of the many highlights that 2015 has had to offer!
May of this year marked STANDBY’S 5th year in business, this was both very exciting and a great achievement having come such a long way from the company’s initial roots. To celebrate our 5th year in business we were incredibly proud to launch our stunning new website (which we LOVE). A big thank you to our very talented friends over at Contrast Creative for making our vision a reality. We think the website looks great and since it’s launch we have had lots of compliments on it!
2015 has also seen STANDBY travel to lots of new places. Earlier this year we won a pitch to produce a film which marked the Official Inauguration of Dong Energy’s Westermost Rough – currently the largest offshore Windfarm in the UK. The shoot itself definitely offered a lot of ‘1sts’ for the crew. 1st Offshore Shoot, 1st time launching a drone from a boat, 1st time seasickness was experienced on a shoot (only for certain members of the crew). Producing the film was a great experience and we are really happy with how the film turned out. You can check that out here.
At STANDBY we love working with our clients time and time again, building great relationships and finding new exciting ways to produce content for them. A client that we have worked with since very early on have been Cake Solutions. We love working with everyone at Cake and it was great to join them in Amsterdam to shoot their highly successful Scala Days conference. We hope to continue collaborating with Cake Solutions for many more years.
Another 2015 highlight was adding to our ever expanding crew in the form of Production Assistant Jack, who joined us in August. Jack has been a great addition to the team with his background in advertising and design, he brings new ideas and skills to the crew. We look forward to continuing adding to our talented team in the future.
In September last year we worked with Beechwood Cancer Care, a local charity based in Stockport. They required us to produce a film ready to be used in a sponsorship pitch. The film went down incredibly well and Beechwood achieved the much needed sponsorship to continue opening their doors. This year Managing Director Simon decided to donate the production of another film having seen how successful the first was. We chose to show the stories of a number of very brave, inspirational people who had all received support from Beechwood. The shoot itself was by far one of the most challenging projects we have worked on, however it was arguably one of the most rewarding projects to be a part of. We are very happy to say the feedback from the film has been amazing and we’re so excited to be helping Beechwood in continuing their vital work. If you want to learn more about the importance of Beechwood Cancer Care you can view the film here.
We’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone we have worked with this year! It’s been incredible to meet and work with so many new people as well as our existing clients. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’re really looking forward to kicking off 2016 with some very exciting announcements so watch this space!
