We here at STANDBY are proud to call ourselves Northerner’s (with the exception of Production Assistant Jack, who hails from Somerset)! We have grown up around the disused mills and seen them transform and be redeveloped into increasingly profitable and forward thinking locations of work and entrepreneurship.

Our own studio, located in the beautiful Beehive Mill building on Jersey Street, is a prime example. Built in the 1820’s, this 190-year-old building has gone through a number of significant transformations over the years, from a cotton mill to a soap factory, to where it is today; housing both Sankeys nightclub and multiple office spaces within. We are one of many companies lucky enough to work within the walls of this incredible building that has changed and evolved from generation to generation. This is a place with history but also with a future.

Every production starts from here and clients will regularly comment on the amazing space we’re lucky enough to work in. We genuinely believe that surrounding ourselves with the culture and history of Manchester’s past helps us to push forward into the future. We’re privileged as a company to be a part of this historic locations story and to add our own mark to the history books.

We look forward to growing as a company in this cracking environment and adding STANDBY to the list of great companies that have emerged from the Northern power house.
