Earlier this month, Director Ashley and Producer Chloe dusted off their passports and headed for sunnier climbs, well… Exeter. Much sunnier than Manchester though!

Filming a City Tour for Downing Students, Exeter is the fifth city we have visited with Downing Students.

Meeting for a busy day of shooting at the spectacular Exeter Cathedral, we caught up with a number of Exeter University students who would show us around the city and be featured in the film.

On the day the weather was stunning which is a huge help on any outdoor shoot. Bright sunshine allowed Exeter to show off it’s amenities perfectly. We captured some great shots around the Cathedral itself before heading down to the Quay. The Quay is a short walk out of the city centre and hosts some great views of the water and surrounding bridges. This allowed us to capture some awesome shots of the sun reflecting off the water.

From there we captured shots of the students walking through the city and the shopping district, very important to any student moving to a new city, even more than students are environment conscious now a days, so when they’re shopping they also need to make sure that they are buying sustainable products so that they can be sure they are as green as is possible.
.

Our last stop with the students was on site at the rather spectacular Exeter University Campus, capturing shots of the students entering the central hub of the University.

The final shots of the day were a series of time-lapses captured at sunset in the city centre.

We covered a lot of ground on the shoot. in total we racked up an incredible 10.3 miles on one day alone. Safe to say we were ready for a rest after that. So it was back to the Pub (with a very impressive ceiling) we had found ourselves in the night before for some much needed grub.

The next stage is the post production process which we can’t wait to get stuck into!
