Having been impressed with our location shooting here in the UK, ESEM (Euro Sport and Event Management) asked us to fly out to the Austrian Alps in June this year to shoot a pre season training camp with top european football team Dynamo Kiev.

ESEM are one of the leading specialised travel management companies for European football teams playing their Champions League, Europa League and International matches in the UK and the continent.

Our brief was to create a series of films that highlighted the specific services they offer as well as an overview film highlighting their services. The shooting began in the UK before heading out to the Austrian Alps.

It was a pretty early start getting to Manchester Airport for 3am, but we managed it! After a lot of careful planning, all the camera gear was split across our hand luggage, so no extra fees were incurred on-board.

We had a short stopover in Frankfurt before flying over to Innsbruck. The drive from the airport to the hotel was a little hairy, driving on the wrong side of a twisting, turning road with hairpin bends and a cliff edge wasn’t the easiest to contend with, but we survived!

We checked in at the incredible 6 star rated Interalpen hotel and began filming around the hotel almost straight away, before heading to the training pitches only to witness an unbelievable thunder storm and struggle to get the shots we required. Back to the Hotel and the crew enjoyed the luxury with an amazing 6 course menu, very welcome after the storm! The weather improved on the second day, so we were able to capture everything we needed, but the weather really wasn’t on our side unfortunately – hindering our view of the tops of the mountains.

We were really happy with the footage that we shot by the end of the two days despite the weather’s best efforts to dampen our spirits.

Check out the final films we created for ESEM on our work page.
