We’ve had a super busy two weeks here at Standby! We’ll begin this week’s blogs with a very happy birthday to two of Standby Social filmmakers – Happy Birthday to Mark and Felix! With the crew so full of cake they’re about to burst, here goes take 19 of the Standby update!

Week 19 Shoots

Earlier last week, Felix and Tom shot and edited for both Bolton Grammar School & Cheshire Oaks. On Wednesday Cheshire Oaks held their annual Christmas lights Switch on Event, which the boys had a great time filming at. Here’s what Felix had to say about the shoot.

“Out Social team really enjoyed filming Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet’s amazing Christmas lights switch on event. With a greatest showman inspired show, fire breathers, brass bands covering dance classics and an enormous Christmas tree it made for one of our most eye catching social shots of the year!”

Whilst Felix and Tom were away most of the week on shoots, Jack got busy in the cutting room, working on the deliverables for Jah Jirah. The films feature interviews with Jah Jirah residents, and highlight the stories of residents who have found comfort and solace in the community within the Jah Jirah homes.

Week 20 Shoots

On Thursday, Ash, Jack and Cath all headed to Wigan to shoot for Saica, a paper production company. We were joined by Saica representatives, Keith (talent) and our lovely freelance MUA Katie. Jack’s busy in the editing room next week, and we can’t to see the final result.

Everything Else

Later in the week, the Standby crew all headed to the Lake District for a three day workshop (which obviously began with a very competitive and somewhat aggressive game of tag archery). The team got the chance to work together on some pretty exciting, new ideas for Standby – so stay tuned to see them put in place!
