Standby Productions were invited to film on behalf of The National Lottery to highlight one of the many Good Cause projects they support. They wanted us to tell Debbies story and highlight her charity River and Sea Sense.

After hearing Debbies story and how she lost her son Chris we wanted to create a film that stripped back everything, leaving only her words and some supporting footage. We knew that, from one of the hardest moments in her life she had created an incredible charity that has no doubt saved a number of lives.

Over two days in North Wales Standby filmed with Debbie as she told her story. We visited Chris’s school and spoke to those who knew him best. We also found out about Rive and Sea sense and all the amazing work that the National Lottery had helped her achieve. The final result is an emotive and touching story that we hope will help Debbie and The National lottery carry on their amazing work.
